Fields of Floods

For our final project in Interaction Design I, we were given complete freedom on what we wanted to create. I decided to challenge myself. As a designer with a journalistic background, I knew I had to cover the devastating floods that hit all of Nebraska. Using HTML, CSS, and Javascript, I created a website covering the timeline of the floods. This is a piece I'm extremely proud of, not because of the aesthetics but because of the challenge I put myself up to and defeated.

Animation

For our third project in Interaction Design I, we were asked to create 10 animations through HTML and CSS.

I animated my Bitmoji surfing behind a replica of the boat I love oh-so much! Within this page, you can see the boat moving, waves flowing, birds flying, clouds moving, a sun rotating, fish jumping and my Bitmoji surfing. I have these all repeating infinitely.

Emailer

For our second project, we were asked to code an email for a possible employer. As an avid Buzzfeed fan, I set out to create a "Buzzfeed Quiz" about me. In order for it to work across multiple platforms, we had to code in HTML2.1 with inline CSS. This is probably one of my favorite projects in college so far!

Beautiful Type

In Interaction Design I, we were asked to code a website consisting of 10 quotes. The language I used was HTML5 and an external CSS.

DESIGN

This Website

No need to create a mockup when you're already here! I perfected this website to give you the best experience possible. Every font, color, picture, etc. is chosen to represent who I am and what I can do.

Kana Systems' Website
This spring, Kana Systems set out to land a contract with the military to design and produce applications they need. In order to maximize our chances of success, I helped in designing a website that could be created quickly. The website needed to be straight to the point, considering our target audience. Using the brand guide we created, I set up the website that helped us successfully land said contract.

Alpha Phi's Website

In the Spring of 2019, I set out to redesign my chapter's website! Our old version was outdated and expensive.  In order to save money and choose a source that will be accessible to all future skill levels, I chose Wix as my designing platform!

ANIMATION

After Effects Animation
In Digital Storytelling, we were each assigned a random object to animate. After receiving "toaster," I set out to make the most emotive toaster animation has seen. Meet Sparky.

In Typography I, we were asked to pick a word and animate it in black and white. I chose the idea of "let's play." I created a world in which these letters played on a playground during recess.

In Typography II, we were asked to do an animography animation. We were asked to create a font that users could download and use in their own videos. I chose mosaic as my word and theme, and created my font based off of that.
